What is your favorite basketball memory?

“I really enjoyed the Howard Payne game this year. It was our first road game and we got off to a little bit of a slow start. Got back into the game in the first half. That kind of same thing happened in the second half and we fell behind and battled our way back and we hadn’t won a game yet. So I just really enjoyed being out there, being able to claim that we got out of two deficits at two different points in the game. That was a good experience.”

What made basketball stand out to you?

“I think just the amount of time and work that you put in not only during the offseason, the summer for the most part for us. But just outside of practice and the games, just countless hours in the gym. Me and my dad would always go, every day, for a couple hours and then all that culminates into 15-20 games when you’re growing up to 25 here. There is just such a limited amount of time to showcase everything you did when nobody was watching. So I think that’s my favorite part about basketball, the time when the lights are on and people are watching, you really make it count.”

What are your plans for graduation?

“I want to use my degree to enter the business world. I’m interested in a variety of fields. I’d love to get involved in the sports or entertainment industry.”

What is your favorite basketball memory?

“I don’t have specifically one, but just any road trip hanging out with the guys on the team or in the hotels, playing cards, stuff like that.”

What made basketball stand out to you?

“I had a really good coach in sixth grade. He just pushed me really hard and he was a good mentor. He just pushed me to be a better person and athlete. He pushed us all really hard and we won a lot of games. And so it kind of propelled me to keep going with the game and fall in love with it.”

What are your plans for after graduation?

“I’m getting my MBA, and I work for a company called Lucid Private Offices. So I plan to continue working there after graduation.”

What is your favorite basketball memory?

“My favorite memories and experiences are probably the away games or the trips. We stay in the hotels, we’re used to gathering, getting together, having a good time and watching a movie.”

What made basketball stand out to you?

“I mean, I always played basketball, for fun. I just never did it for my school or competition until sophomore year of high school and I always had fun playing basketball. It’s the team aspect, like everyone gets involved.”
