  1. Shakespeare Adventure Walk. Beginning at the Dallas Public Library-J. Erik Jonsson Central Library, clues will take you to different businesses around downtown Dallas. Stop to shop or have a snack along your walk. Some paths lead to prizes! Run through April 30 during library hours, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free.
  2. Deep Ellum Arts Festival. From April 1-3, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., the Deep Ellum Arts Festival is the signature art event for Dallas and will showcase 200 decorative and visual artists, 100 original bands and singer/songwriters, a fashion show, and delicious foods and drinks.   3. MLK Remembrance Ceremony. This year will mark 54 years since Dr. King’s death. Hosted annually by the City of Dallas Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center, this event takes place on Monday, April 4, at 4:45 p.m. until 7 p.m. This year’s theme is “It Starts With Me.” KFC is sponsoring food for the event.   4. Meet the Artists at Galleri Urbane. In gallery one, Philadelphia-based artist Stephen D’Onofrio presents “The Arborist,” his fourth solo exhibition. In gallery two, Chicago artist Anna Kunz will present her highly anticipated solo show, “Naked Light.” These paintings galvanize conversation between both viewers and color upon canvas while confronting the emptiness and lack of connection from physical distancing. Both of the artists will be present at Galleri Urbane. The two solo shows open on April 9 from 5-8 p.m. Admission is free.
  5. The Boho Market at Victory Park. The Boho Market is bringing small businesses and local makers back to Victory Park in Dallas this season. Free admission at Victory Park, 3090 Nowitzki Way. This venue features a parking garage, select valet, public parking lots, and street parking.
  6. The Bauhaus in Texas. Located at PDNB Gallery from 5-8 p.m.daily through April 2, this exhibition addresses the subject of women in abstraction. The theme of the show is the influence of the Bauhaus in Germany, and the New Bauhaus in Chicago. The works cover the 1930s to the 1970s. Artists included in this exhibition are Carlotta Corpron, Ida Lansky, Barbara Maples and György Kepes.
