  1. Autumn at the Arboretum –  Ready for fall? Start your October off right at the 16th Annual Autumn at the Arboretum, visit the nationally acclaimed Pumpkin Village of pumpkin houses and over 90,000 pumpkins, gourds and squash. Join in on the Halloween festivities at this fall festival, lasting until Oct. 31st. Admission starts at $12.
  2. Art and Jazz Festival – The Denton Arts and Jazz Festival celebrates a community with music, dance, and visual arts. Come see performers on seven different stages, as well as free-roaming performers. This event will be held between Oct. 1-3. Admission is free!
  3. Boho Market – Support small and local businesses that sell art, jewelry, pastries, candles, pet accessories and more this weekend. The market will come to Windsong Ranch on Saturday, Oct. 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free. 
  4. Frisco Oktoberfest –  Continue celebrating the beginning of fall at Frisco Square. Enjoy live music, dancing, beer, pretzels, brats, and more. These German festivities will take place Saturday, Oct 2nd from 11am-10pm and Sunday, Oct. 3rd from 12pm-5pm. Admission starts at $20
  5. Dallas Symphony Orchestra – The DSO presents “Philharmonia Fantastique: The Making of the Orchestra”, showing at the Meyerson Symphony center. This animated film portrays instruments of the orchestra and explores the expression of creativity through  technology. Tickets start at $13. 
  6. Taco Festival –  Tacotopia taco festival brings together the best taco restaurants in the DFW area, lounging areas, live performances, a dance class to a Selena hit, a Selena Tribute band performance, eating contests, photo ops, and more. Admission is free; taco sampler packs start at $10.
