  1. Deep Ellum Outdoor Market – Looking to support local artists and vendors? Every Saturday between 12 and 6pm, Deep Ellum holds an outdoor market featuring over 40 vendors and artisans, and there is live music as well. Admission is free, so bring a friend!
  2. Ziplining – Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary hosts zipline days twice a month, where guests climb a 23-foot tall tree to zipline through a beautiful deciduous forest. This Sunday, Sept. 26, register to experience nature in this new and fun way! Zip Line Days start at 9am, and admission is $12. 
  3. Outdoor Movies: “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World” – Rooftop Cinema Club is hosting its new Summer Series, an open-air movie experience with the Dallas skyline as a backdrop. This Saturday, Sept. 25, Rooftop Cinema Club will be playing “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World” at 7:45pm. Tickets start at $15.50. 
  4. White Rock Farmers Market- Come get local produce, meat, eggs, bread, pastries, jams and other foods, along with other hand-crafted items such as clothes, soap, furniture and more, all made by local artisans! This market is held every Saturday from 8am–noon, and admission is free. 
  5. State Fair of Texas- This year, the Texas State Fair arrives Saturday Sept. 24, bringing with it new sights, sounds, smells and tastes of Texas. Come see live music, fun performances, beautiful artwork by local artists, and taste new foods brought to you by the culinary creativity of the finalists of Big Tex Choice Awards. Tickets start at $10, and the fair will be in Dallas until Oct. 17. 
  6. Dallas Contemporary- Four new exhibitions are coming to the Dallas Contemporary in the Design District of Dallas. Come see Shilpa Gupta’s immersive installation “For, In Your Tongue, I Cannot Fit: 100 Jailed Poets,” as well as paintings by Peter Halley, Ilya and Emilia Kabakov and Renata Morales. Reserve your free ticket in advance on the Dallas Contemporary’s website.
