I found last week’s gun control article both insightful and interesting. There is one point I wish to add. In spite of how you stand on gun control and the ability of the government to restrict access to firearms, it is your duty as an American to actively participate in your government. Acts 23:5 encourages Christians to think about how they respond to their political leaders regardless of emotion or political affiliation. America was founded on principles such as free speech and political participation, and citizens should remember that active participation in government is greater than voting and voicing an opinion. By praying for our appointed leaders we are working towards improvement in our society in an unbiased and fruitful way.
