The University of Dallas cross country team earned top scores at the University of the Ozarks Invitational in Clarksville, AR. While the meet was small (three teams competed) the team was proud of its accomplishments.

The women won first place with a score of 29 points. The men claimed second place with 49 points.

The race began with the women’s 5K, which was followed by the men’s 8K. Much like the previous week, the teams ran on a flat, grass course.

Personal recognition is due to the following athletes whose performance earned them a ranking position. Meghan Falconer placed first in the women’s 5K with a time of 19 minutes, 4 seconds. Catherine Hand claimed the second place finish for UD (20:1).

The men’s highest scorer was Clinton Heyer (29:9) in sixth place, followed by Phillip Wozniak in seventh (29:18) and Alex Bukaty (30:30) in eighth place.

This weekend the team will host the University of Dallas Invitational on Saturday.  The race will begin at 9 a.m. with the women’s 6K. Come out and support the team!
