  1.       Texas State Fair

The Texas State Fair is in full swing until Sunday, Oct. 21. This huge Texan celebration offers live music, entertainment, carnival rides, and tons of food. For those without a car, the Fair is accessible via DART. General admission is $16, but remember that there are frequent daily deals for half priced tickets, such as bringing in a Dr. Pepper can after 5 p.m.

  1.       Taylor Swift

T-Swift is in town, and tickets are still available. Performing alongside her are Charlie XCX and Camila Cabello. The concert is at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington on Friday, Oct. 5, at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $77, so grab them while you still can.

  1.       Food Truck Fridays

Foodies, hit up Fort Worth for a relaxing Friday evening at Prairie Vista Park from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Check out the variety of food trucks, bring lawn chairs to sit in the grass, and enjoy a live D.J.

  1.       Hall’s Pumpkin Farm and Corn Maze

Autumn is here, so get a group together to have some Fall fun at this family farm in historic Grapevine. There will be a corn maze, evening hayrides, pumpkin patches, pumpkin picking, and refreshments like hot apple cider. Admission and parking are free.

  1.       ODESZA

EDM fans, ODESZA is performing at the Toyota Music Factory this weekend on Friday, Oct. 6. The concert starts at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $42.

  1.       Cool Thursdays Concert Series

Dallas Arboretum is presenting their Concert Series every Thursday, and Oct. 4 will feature the band Emerald City. With a great view of White Rock Lake, attendants will have access to the beautiful gardens before the concert starts at 7 p.m. Bring a blanket to picnic on the grass, or hit up the food trucks for dinner. Admission is $30.
