When I was younger, my dad always made peanut butter and banana sandwiches. As of last week, I hadn’t eaten one in several years, but for some reason I really wanted one the other night — so I went on a hunt.

During my search, I found Neuhaus Café. Not only does it sell “The Elvis,” a peanut butter and banana sandwich with honey, but it also has a candy bar!

This restaurant is quite possibly the cutest place to eat in Dallas. It has different kinds of candy in one corner of the building, along with different kinds of chocolates and cakes.

Although it doubles as a candy bar, Neuhaus is a complete restaurant in and of itself. All of the tables have flowers and candles, and the service is quick and kind.

The café sells breakfast, lunch and dinner for very reasonable prices. Most of its meals range from $7 to $11, a great price for such wonderful food and atmosphere.

For breakfast, you can order a breakfast bagel melt, French toast and much more. Breakfast is served until 3 p.m. every day, but various pastas, salads and sandwiches are also served all day long.

I strongly encourage you to check out the menu at www.neuhauscafe.com. The peanut butter and banana sandwich I had was incredible, but there were so many things on the menu that I wanted to go back and try!

After I finished eating, I walked over to the candy dispensers and bought a few Coca-Cola gummies, cherry sours and Swedish fish. At the register, you can also buy cake pops, cake by the slice and other scrumptious treats.

With cheap prices, great food and candy, Neuhaus Café is definitely one of the best restaurants I’ve found this semester. And, the location is great! There’s a Barnes and Noble a few stores down, and if you don’t want cake or candy for dessert, there’s a frozen yogurt shop next door.

The Neuhaus Café is open 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday.

If you go for dinner, make sure to arrive at least 15 minutes before it closes, because that’s when the kitchen closes down. If you don’t want to go out, Neuhaus Café also delivers. Just visit its website and click “Delivery Services.”

Neuhaus Café is a great restaurant for a simple date night, or an evening out with a friend. For any other questions, feel free to call the restaurant at 214 -739 – 4600.
