Chinese Lantern Festival
Sept. 28 – Oct. 21; Fair Park.
Taking place during the Texas State Fair (which you should check out if you haven’t before!), this event has two parts: during the day, it’s a collection of authentic Chinese art, but at night, the festival lights go up and set the sky aglow in a display that that rivals the lantern scene in Tangled.
Florence and the Machine concert
Sept. 30 at 7 p.m.; Gexa Energy Pavilion.

Macbeth
Sept. 29 at Samuell-Grand Amphitheatre,
and Oct. 3 –14 at Addison Circle Park.
Every student should check out this production of Shakespeare’s famous Scottish play to support its all-local cast and its familiar director, University of Dallas’ own drama professor, Stefan Novinski.
Red Hot Chili Peppers concert
Oct. 2 at 7 p.m.; American Airlines Center.
